/ist/Wagub Cok Ace Proposes Adding Direct Flights from China to Bali.
Following the return of Chinese tourists to Bali, Deputy Governor of Bali Prof. Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati (Cok Ace) hopes that the number of direct flights from China can be increased.
The addition of direct flights is expected to include more cities in China as departure points and airlines that serve direct flights to Bali. He conveyed this request to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, through ‘The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno’ virtual event on Tuesday (24/1/2023).
Deputy Governor Cok Ace, who attended the event from his office, would like the direct flights to be gradually increased. “We really hope that direct flights from 20 cities in China with 15 airlines can be restored as normal before the pandemic,” he said.
This is important because China is a potential supplier of foreign tourists to Bali.
During the event, Deputy Governor Cok Ace, who is also the Chairman of the Bali chapter of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI), expressed his highest appreciation and gratitude to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy for their efforts in bringing back Chinese tourists to the Island of the Gods.
He was accompanying Governor Wayan Koster during the welcome ceremony at Ngurah Rai Airport on January 22, 2023, and felt the extraordinary enthusiasm of the Chinese tourist group who arrived by charter flight from Shenzhen.
